Fracture Modeling of Deep Tight Sandstone Fault-Fracture Reservoir Based on Geological Model and Seismic Attributes: A Case Study on Xu 2 Member in Western Sichuan Depression, Sichuan Basin

With significant geological reserves and high resource abundance, the Xujiahe Formation in Western Sichuan Depression is considered a key target for natural gas exploration development continental clastic rocks within Basin. However, this formation remains underdeveloped. Critical to forming “sweet spots” of tight reservoir presence fractures. Based on available data sources, including core samples, well logs, outcrop data, we utilized combination geophysical modeling techniques clarify characteristics effective fractures reservoirs. This allowed us construct model sandstone fault-fracture Xu 2 Member located Xinchang area, which represents formed by high-angle faulting-derived controlled S-N trending fault. model, variety seismic attributes, likelihood entropy, was used predict reservoir.
